POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will be responsible for leading and orchestrating the development and deployment of innovative guest-centric, digital-driven products and services across the enterprise. S/he will lead an incubator group to identify solutions that intersect creative problem solving, technical advancements and operational capabilities. Through collaboration with internal as well as external technology partners this leader will drive the blending of digital and physical experiences that are uniquely on brand and create guest loyalty without lifetime contracts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

Recruits, leads and inspires a cross functional team across 5 key areas of responsibility:

1. Idea generation, conceptualization, rapid iteration and testing of new digital-led products and services supporting the guest experience, sales & marketing, staff enablement and new market development.

2. Drive innovation education/communications.

3. Create a culture of innovation.

4. Evaluate (viability, maturity and valuation) advancing technologies. Prototype impactful use cases and recommend timing and strategies to maximize success.

5. Identify and engage with external technology companies to identify new partnership opportunities.

6. Leads a centralized research group, creating a roadmap for the future via primary and secondary research, recommending strategic initiatives based on consumer trends and technology-enabled opportunities.

This role requires equal parts strategic, creative and technical leadership.

  • Developing and integrating an unprecedented Guest Experience vision across the entire portfolio and adaptable to all brands in all markets.
  • Translating multiple perspectives into concise, powerful people-centric design solutions.
  • Leading digital transformation holistically across the entire guest journey and all key dimensions onsite (Resort Accommodations & Services, Operations, F&B, Retail, Recreation, Sales & Marketing).
  • Creating new products and experiential opportunities through creative concepting and development.
  • Researching & establishing guest experience and guest service level expectations and benchmarks for the enterprise.
  • Serving as the future guest experience "Subject Matter Expert" for the enterprise.
  • Engaging with partners to fully understand and frame problems and opportunities.
  • Leading and conducting the creative process inspiring fresh creative contribution and integrating design across all disciplines and partners.
  • Formulating, persuading and championing ideas through compelling storytelling.
  • Ensuring solutions meet strategic objectives and quality standards within time, resource and financial goals.
  • Leading and managing key relationships with external creative and technical development partners.
  • Supporting new business development and growth opportunities.

Job Requirements



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and develops a team of employees.
  • Manages departmental budget and weekly payroll.
  • Assumes responsibility for engagement of team as measured by annual employee engagement survey
  • Asses performance of team members on a regular basis and provides feedback for continual improvement, personally oversees career growth of team members, ensures appropriate succession planning.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant 4 year degree from an accredited College or University.
  • Minimum 5 years in executive leadership experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Customer Research, Marketing Analysis or directly related field.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated ability to create an innovative vision and lead/develop a team to deliver on this vision.
  • Proven ability to lead a large team of capable leaders, aligning the team around a clear and acheiveable vision while aniticpating quickly shifting market and business landscapes.
  • Demonstrated passion for developing team members, and taking personal ownership for team engagement and succession planning.
  • Proven knowledge of market research techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence partners and senior leaders by building strong relationships, establishing trust and continually following through on commitments.
  • Strong ability to pull data and tell stories from the insights that drive action and change.
  • Ability to deliver presentations with poise and confidence in an authentic style.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and drive large quantities of work to a successful resolution
  • Demonstrated budget generation and management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
