Job Description

The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Training Manager will be responsible for the implementation, facilitation, and ongoing support of Departmental and Corporate Training Programs for their functional area. Working closely with their Sr. Director and Regional Training Manager, the Training Manager will also act as a consultant for their resort to help identify training opportunities to assist in reaching resort-specific and company-wide service goals. 


Responsible for developing, improving, and expanding upon the School of Facilities Operations Training Program for Facilities and Maintenance Operations. Working closely with the Sr Director of Facilities Services, Brand Delivery and Regional Training Manager, to create innovative instructional approaches integrating the importance of great guest service while developing the technical confidence within each Team Member to maintain a quality resort product that surpasses brand standards. 


  • Prepare, plan and facilitate curriculum, lessons and laboratory assignments that use a variety of teaching techniques to aide in the development of Team Member skills in the building maintenance, construction and repair industry while demonstrating key elements of the industry such as: professionalism, essential safety practices, trade techniques, and the proper use of tools and equipment. 
  • Manage the School of Facilities Operations training programs.  Monitor and promote learning, participation, motivation and confidence within Team Members.  Evaluate, test and provide performance progress updates to Team Members and appropriate Leaders to ensure successful program completion.

  • Work closely with participating Resort Department Leaders to gain feedback on the post-performance of Certified Maintenance Apprentices and training programs associated with Facilities Operations.  Collaborate with Department Leaders, Brand Delivery, and Academy of Learning to identify and incorporate program enhancements that address business needs and curriculum accuracy based on industry and Company trends and communicate program progress/updates accordingly.

  • Conduct evaluations and monitor the effectiveness and successful completion of the Certified Apprentice Program, and all associated training programs in Facilities Operations and make any necessary adjustments.  Coordinate technical hands on based learning experiences to include materials and location.  Ensure training tools and equipment are maintained and prepared for class and labs.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree - preferred
  • Technical Education Instruction - preferred
  • 5 or more years outside of education experienced in the work-related field or equivalent
  • Professional Instructor and facilitation skills - required
  • Valid Florida Educators Certification in Vocation Field
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, and minimum of 4 years of driving experience
