This position will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the social media initiatives in support of the Holiday Inn Club Vacations brand. The Social Media Specialist will bring a sense of passion to social media and will develop and implement an integrated plan designed to convert social media into a robust lead-generating resource for the sales and marketing teams. A highly organized and strong communicator, the Specialist will work closely with the Corporate Branding and Communications team as well as the rental and recruiting teams to increase recognition of the brand through focused social media campaigns and clearly understands the important role social media plays in crisis communications.

1. Execute social media strategy aimed at increasing brand awareness, fostering trust and positioning the company as the leader in vacation ownership. 40%

2. Drive and manage engagement through prompt responses to comments and reviews on all social media platforms. 30%

3. Use social listening through various social media tools to discover engagement opportunities, including users indirectly engaging with our brand (i.e. non-mentions) or users talking about topics relevant to the brand (i.e. vacations, timeshares, family, etc.). 20%

4. Track and work with the social media manager to analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness of strategy and content. 10%


Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, PR, communications, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years corporate social media experience, agency experience a plus
• Proficient on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram
• Experience in Social Studio a plus
• Timeshare or hospitality industry experience preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience creating innovative social content
• An analytical as well as a creative approach to tasks is essential.
• Experience working well in a cross-functional team environment
• Must be able to collaborate and develop strong relationships effectively with clients and team.
• Ability to demonstrate end-to-end thinking through projects.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Proficient in prioritizing, organizing and delegating assignments.
• Advanced computer skills, especially on social media platforms
• Possess well-developed judgment, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Carries out any reasonable request by management.
