This position will be responsible for creating effective and compelling copy and editorial to tell the Holiday Inn Club Vacations story through a variety of vehicles, including blog posts, web content, social media, video scripts, email and print projects. The employee will ensure that copy is engaging while satisfying stated business objectives, meeting brand standards and remaining legally compliant. This position is also responsible for assisting with proofreading various projects and communications for spelling, grammar, accuracy and effectiveness. The employee must manage multiple assigned projects and partner effectively with creative, web, design and production teams to deliver timely, high-quality work.


  • Writing copy and editorial-style articles (including changes and rewrites)

  • Information gathering (including internal project-specific meetings, client questions, research, fact checking, interviews and follow-ups)

  • Proofreading (including employee’s own copy and that of others)

  • Department functions (meetings, team events and miscellaneous tasks)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3–5 years professional writing experience in advertising, online publishing, blog, PR or related field
  • Experience managing multiple projects successfully
  • Experience working well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience in corporate environment and/or timeshare/hospitality background a plus


  • Ability to write effective copy for different purposes and audiences with minimal supervision
  • Ability to write for a variety of media, including web content, video scripts, ads, emails, etc.
  • Ability to write engaging editorial-style content for the web and blog
  • Understanding of how photography and design work with copy to produce effective communications
  • Ability to do research and ask appropriate questions to gather and organize pertinent information
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills, including spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Project management experience and proficiency in prioritizing and organizing assignments
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with internal team members while maintaining a self-directed approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic and professional demeanor
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
