Job Description

Position Overview:

The Cashier position requires the handling of large sums of money without constant supervision. All deposits and drops from the resort are handled and recorded on a daily basis. House bank auditing, and issuance and maintenance of petty cash funds are also performed regularly. This position is entrusted with tracking all cash operations performed on property. This is a financial position that oversees the cash handling of all operational areas on the Orange Lake campus.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage cash operations to include accompanying the armored car service, maintaining drop safes, monitoring cash machines, and other cash handling functions as necessary.
  • Provide cash teller services to operational departments on a set schedule
  • Count and audit daily operational deposits and prepare funds for deposit to the bank.
  • Identify and research cash handling violations, enforce and uphold standard operating procedures, ensuring that proper documentation is submitted and approved.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Associates degree or higher preferred. Prior cash handling experience in an intensive cash-handling environment (i.e. Bank teller) required.
  • Experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred.

 Essential Functions:

  • Proficient in Excel at an entry level.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be detail-orientated and have the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral).
  • Ability to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
