POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, owners, and team members, protect the company’s assets; while serving as a deterrent to crime and violations of company policy. Security Officers serve as first responders to any guest or team member injury and/or accident, and play an integral role in curtailing workplace injuries.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Be an ambassador of good will and provide outstanding guest service to all visitors and employees of the resort. Greet guests warmly, offer advice and guidance regarding the resort. Ensure all guests receive directions on how to reach their intended destinations
  • Assist with lockouts, malfunctioning key, and other operational issues. Identify and engage any suspicious person who may interrupt the orderly operation of the resort while limiting liability.
  • Patrol the resort to ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and assets. Take the immediate and necessary steps to correct any safety hazards and cleanliness issues while responding to all hazards – manmade, technological or natural – as outlined in the department emergency response procedures.
  • Act as first responder to all guest and team member accidents and injuries on property. Administer first aid, contact emergency services if required. Secure First Report of Injury in the case of team member injuries; assist with the drug and alcohol testing of team members when appropriate.

Job Requirements

  • Two years of security, hotel, or customer service experience with high customer contact preferred
  • Obtain and maintain a current First Aid, CPR and AED certification
  • Obtain a Sherriff's Card from LVMPD
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
