POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the successful execution of activities and events by consistently monitoring resort activity programs, special events and entertainment as it pertains to The Waterpark at the Villages Resort or Marina.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Participates in food and beverage prep as well as maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Assist Guest and Owners with activities and rentals as it pertains to the Marina
  • Responsible for cash handling
  • Maintain departmental paperwork as needed for job duties

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to follow prescribed procedures and guidelines in accomplishing tasks as described above

  • General knowledge of kitchen equipment required

  • Strong problems solving and prioritizing skills
  • Must have a commitment to excellence

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate hand tools. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly. Specific work assignments may change without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

The majority of work will be performed in a non-climate-controlled environment, with potential exposure to inclement weather and varying degrees of extreme temperature. Will be exposed to various industrial chemicals, cleaning agents, etc. Will be exposed to strong odors, and loud noise levels.

 

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS

Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal departmental operating hours. All departments are open during major holiday periods.

 

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with children and families.
  • Proven participation in clubs, sports, volunteerism, or extra-curricular activities strongly desired
  • Experience in a theme park, parks and recreation, hospitality or resort environment are desired
  • Outgoing personality and eagerness to create fun is required

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Working outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Some computer usage
  • Ability to swim and participate in water activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
