POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Activities position helps execute the activities and events by assisting the activity programs, special events and entertainment. This individual will also help communicate and market special events hosted by the resort.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS :

  • Ensures excellent customer service as it relates to our activities and functions
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Monitors all activities to ensure the safety and security of all
  • Assists in the planning and execution of resort activities and events
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures, processes and standards are adhered to at all time without exception.

 

Job Requirements

  • Performs other tasks as assigned
  • Familiarity with water safety, CPR certification strongly desired.
  • First Aid Certified strongly desired.
  • Computer knowledge is preferred
  • Assists in the planning and execution of resort activities and events
  • Participates in Food and Beverage Prep as well as maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Responsible for cash handling
  • Maintain departmental paperwork as needed for job duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to follow prescribed procedures and guidelines in accomplishing tasks as described above
  • Ability to be self-directed while working as part of a team
  • General knowledge of kitchen equipment required
  • Food handlers permit after 90 days on the job
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong problems solving and prioritizing skills
  • Must have a commitment to excellence

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate hand tools. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly. Specific work assignments may change without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The majority of work will be performed in a non-climate-controlled environment. Will be exposed to various industrial chemicals, cleaning agents, etc. Will be exposed to strong odors, and loud noise levels.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS

Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal departmental operating hours. All departments are open during major holiday periods.
