POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

The Regional Human Resources Director is responsible for managing the delivery of a business- aligned people agenda. This position is also responsible for leading a team of Human Resources staff, based in different locations within the assigned geographic region, to provide distinctive service to their internal clients, employees, and partners within the region. Key areas of focus are to address human development needs within the various sites and ensure that appropriate training is delivered to meet these needs.

 

The successful candidate will develop the team responsible for “high touch” people experiences, such as onboarding, integrated performance management, retention practices, employee issues, and general Human Resources programs for the region.

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

1. Be an expert in the strategy of the Company, regional practices, and the business priorities of the region; proactively interact with regional leaders and line partners/managers to strategically identify Company-wide Human Resources goals and objectives to ensure they are consistent with the business goals of HICV.   30%

2. Support the execution of the Company’s strategy by implementing a business-aligned people agenda that delivers measurable value to the business and an exemplary experience to the team members.   30%


3. Administer Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices and ensure they are implemented successfully at all levels; oversee the regional execution of all general Human Resources programs including performance management, succession planning, training, employment law compliance, compensation and benefits administration, new hire orientation, employee relations, and retention.   20%

 

4. Coordinate and partner with other Human Resources functional partners such as Recruitment, HRIS, Learning & Development and Compensation & Benefits.   10%


5. Manage, mentor, and coach the region’s Human Resources staff.   10%

 

Job Requirements

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Region’s Human Resources staff (Managers, Generalists, and Coordinators)

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; MBA
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of increasingly responsible Human Resources leadership positions with demonstrated ability to thrive in a culture that is collaborative, service-oriented, and consultative, preferably in a timeshare
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in Human Resources, preferably in
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR and recruiting
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing detailed HR business
  • Reputation for discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, strong attention to detail and common sense.
  • Past experience functioning as a regional or local HR Leader within an HR Business Partner
  • Extensive experience managing, mentoring and developing a team of HR practitioners across disparate geographies.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • SPHR or PHR

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have strong knowledge and command of Federal & State employment laws such as ADA, FMLA, Wage & Hour, , as well as HR policies, procedures, staffing, employee relations, strategic planning, and training & development.
  • An outstanding coach and mentor with engaging and approachable personality. Will have significant history of working successfully with all levels of staff, from front-line through senior
  • A proven expert in prioritization and negotiation with demonstrated ability to be effective in supporting multiple business leaders/ partners working in various locations across different business
  • Highly collaborative and action-oriented, with a leadership style characterized by strong influencing skills; someone who is a change agent who can build collaborative relationships across the
  • Confident with history of exhibiting strong personal initiative as someone who is willing to get out in the field, roll up their sleeves, and do whatever it takes to get the job
  • Operationally focused with ability to think strategically and deliver
  • Metrics-focused with ability and history of using analytics to solve problems and develop
  • Solid PC skills with proficiency in MS
  • Ability to travel as required to service the region
