To prepare and develop tomorrow’s leaders, the Resort Industry Student Experience (RISE) internship program provides the structure and resources to harness, teach, and grow talented students into successful career professionals through an immersive, holistic, and dynamic learning experience in the hospitality industry.

All internships will consist of hands on work, observations, special projects, leadership development, training, feedback and evaluations. Students will have the opportunity to form connections with both their peers and industry leaders who are in roles in both their own department and others within the company.

The Project Management internship will be a 13 week experience which will provide the opportunity to learn about Project Management and Information Technology in the Hospitality and Timeshare industry. The Project Intern will work on projects that will give hands-on experience with IT tools, project management/agile methodology, business analysis, process improvement, quality assurance and change management.

The Project Intern will regularly assist the Project Manager in leading and implementing projects, with the potential to independently run smaller projects as directed. Under guidance of the Project Manager, the Project Intern will also initiate and contribute to the development of new processes within the Owner Support department. The project intern will be responsible for project support and documentation and will gain detailed knowledge of the project life cycle. To ensure the timely completion of projects, the Project Intern will support the tracking and status of all project deliverables.



  • Support project managers in managing schedules and milestones; ensuring that statuses are received from team members in a timely manner and assists with documentations and project deliverables
  • Supports the introduction, review and delivery of new processes. Assists with the creation of wireframes, mockups, layouts etc. and coordinate aspects of user testing and other work as assigned.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and networking events with the Academy of Learning and Development. This includes a team project to be presented to leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
  •  Learn what goes into the general owner support operations through mentorship and observations with the owner support team.


Job Requirements

  • Student pursuing a degree in Communications, Business, IT, or other relevant area of study
  • Ideal candidate would have an interest in learning and working on technical/web design projects, as well as business analysis and requirements gathering
  • Experience in Salesforce or CRM experience is a plus
  •  Enrolled in college/university courses within 6 months of the start of the internship
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in current good standing with the college/university
  • Must not be in first two semesters taking college coursework
  • Must be able to secure housing in the location of the internship for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to pass and complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to complete entire program without interruptions
