POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Resort Industry Student Experience (RISE) internship program provides the structure and resources to harness, teach, and grow talented students into successful career professionals through an immersive, holistic, and dynamic learning experience in the hospitality industry.


The Marketing Compliance internship will be responsible for coordinating various compliance activities under the direction of the Director of Compliance to ensure the Marketing Call Center’s compliance program, compliance regulations and policies are followed. These activities may include but not limited to: research, call reviews, reporting and marketing collateral review and submission.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Assist with research and call review requests on elevated issues for customer resolution team. Update report tracker for monthly audit.
  • Review all marketing collateral, ensuring collateral is compliant with all applicable regulations and business requirements, managing script creation, submission and tracking. The role will require a cross-functional approach that provides support and assistance to Compliance, Marketing and Legal departments.
  • Participate in meetings, training's, and networking events with the Academy of Learning and Development–approximately once per week. This includes a team project to be presented to leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Learn what goes into the general management of compliance requirements for the Corporate Marketing Call Center through mentor-ship and observations with the Compliance team.

 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or other relevant area of study
  • Experience working in hospitality, telemarketing or related area is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to do research, gather content and organize information
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and organizing assignments
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with internal team members while maintaining a self-directed approach to ongoing projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and professional demeanor
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the workplace

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrolled in college/university courses within 6 months of the start of the internship
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in current good standing with the college/university
  • Must be able to secure housing in the location of the internship for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to pass and complete a background check
  • Must be able to complete entire program without interruptions
