POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will be responsible for providing a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for all guests by consistently monitoring pool and deck activity and enforcing safety rules. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

Effectively communicate in English for business and safety reasons

Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Clean and maintain the decks, pools, tables, chairs umbrellas and other common areas

Maintenance and cleaning duties, i.e. towel light chemical cleaning, sweeping, and trash pick-up

Provide information beneficial to guest satisfaction by up selling resort facilities and services.

Water safety, guest service or custodial experience preferred

Ability to follow prescribed procedures and guidelines in accomplishing tasks

Ability to be self-directed

Skill in attention to detail

 

 

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to swim

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to follow written instruction

Ability to stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to obtain a Lifeguard certification is required

Show competency in water by completing a simple pre-hiring swim test to include entering the water safely, swimming at least 10 yards, diving and retrieving a ten-pound brick in at least five feet of water
