POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Wilson Title Services foreclosure and deeding teams located in Orlando, Florida.   The position must effectively lead a team of administrative professionals who are responsible for reviewing chains of title, mortgage and deed recordation, issuance of title insurance, and foreclosure activities.  This leader will properly handle escalated matters, provide daily direction and support, monitor workloads to ensure deadlines are met and ensure all activities meet Company, Title Underwriter and State/Federal regulated standards.   Must be able to work effectively with Law Firms, Recorder’s offices and Title Insurance Companies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

1.     Searching title for all related resorts, which entails using various search engines established to determined proper chain of title and insurability.

2.     Responsible for guiding team members on searching efforts and training team by reviewing title.   Understanding when title is defective and defining appropriate measures to clear deficiency.

 

3.     Reviewing Trusts, Wills, and Probate documents to establish current owners so that certain documents can be prepared to clear defects.  Uses judgment to review facts and confirm risk. 

4.     Maintain effective working relationships with underwriting counsel so title deficiencies can be discussed to determine appropriate course of action.

5.     Reviews current foreclosure and deeding procedures and ensures team is in compliance with various state statutes.

 



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position spends the majority of the time achieving organizational goals often through coordinating achievements of their staff.   A portion of time may be spent performing individual tasks related to those performed by direct reports, but primary duties are supervisory or organizational goal related.   Some specific supervisory duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Establish department goals and objectives
  • Foster an environment that supports staff development
  • Functions with independence and makes decisions on matters of significant importance
  • Monitor team’s performance, update performance metrics and address areas of improvement immediately
  • Exercise judgement within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
  • Ensure team members adhere to policies and procedure
  • Perform annual performance reviews and complete development plans as needed
  • Provide training and support to new and existing associates
  • Coach team members for success
  • Ensure team members have the resources in order to properly complete job duties

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • 10 years Timeshare and Title insurance related experience


 



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must have an active Florida Title Agent license


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have at least 10 years of supervisory experience leading teams of 10 or more employees
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in the Vacation Ownership industry in title insurance related roles
  • Excels in a fast pace changing environment and under significant time constraints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
