POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Risk & Compliance Analyst II is responsible for staying up to date with and monitoring regulations, laws and industry specific standards, while working closely with business units to communicate, educate and assist in implementing required changes.  They will assist in monitoring and auditing of both business units’ and the Company’s risk and compliance operations, reporting any findings to the Risk & Compliance Officer.  The Risk & Compliance Analyst II will be a liaison between business operations and the Legal department on issues of risk and compliance along with Risk and Compliance Vice President.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

 

 

1.     Assist Internal Audit in performance of audits throughout the organization, as needed, as well as conducting compliance audits for all areas of operations and effectively communicating the results of compliance and operational audits via written reports and/or oral presentations.

2.     Coordinate development of compliance surveys and analysis of compliance results for various compliance programs, and assist in the development of compliance presentations, policies and procedures, worksheets and databases using relevant tools as required (e.g., Microsoft Office).  Including the development and maintenance of risk and compliance reporting tools to ensure operational compliance and effectiveness of compliance operations.

3.     Research of and act as resource for applicable laws, regulations and policies and procedures related to company operations (e.g., Bank-Secrecy, OFAC, anti-kickback, vendor relationships, conflicts of interest, etc.).  

4.     Track and monitor regulatory, legal and reporting requirements applicable to risk and compliance matters that affect company operations.  Including handling reporting and assisting with all compliance project implementations throughout the organization

5.     Proactively develop and maintain working relationships with key operational partners to ensure active participation in all areas of operational functions related to risk and compliance matters and the Risk & Compliance department.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university required. Advanced degrees such as a JD or Masters are preferred but are not required.
  • Industry knowledge—experience or exposure to timeshare or hospitality industry preferred, or general risk and compliance experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of compliance or 3 years of industry specific experience is required.

 



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Compliance specific licenses or certifications a plus.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong and effective communication skills—must be able to interact with a variety of individuals at different levels, have excellent communication skills and write clearly and concisely.
  • Organized and detail oriented—requires a demonstration of effective organization and an eye for detail document and data review and analysis.
  • Legal research—requires ability to research regulatory or legal issues to find the correct solution to the issue and draft a thorough response based on findings.
  • Basic computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Project management or project implementation skills or experience a plus and preferred.
