This Assistant Manager of Facilities Operations is responsible for bringing the brand promise to life through excellence in asset management. The role includes assisting with the leadership and development of a team of specialists who are responsible for the overall performance of the resort’s physical infrastructure, with the primary goals of protecting and extending the life of owner assets, general grounds care, and contract management of outsourced facilities. This person provides assistance with leadership and direction for the assigned unit(s) and aligns unit goals with overall department goals for functions under remit. Success in this role is measured primarily by onsite and post-stay guest survey responses evaluating the quality of the facilities and the life and safe operation of assets.


  • Design, organize, execute, and complete any and all projects as directed. Provide technical support to all repairs and maintenance personnel. Implement and facilitate skills training for the staff.

  • Organization of assignments for the staff. Manage scheduling and monitor overtime. Manage performance and staff behaviors, providing coaching and/or corrective actions when necessary. Conduct 90 day and annual reviews. Drive Team Member Engagement.

  • Control budgetary expenditures. Manage vehicle and storage room inventory to assure proper par levels are maintained to provide materials needed to support the maintenance and response team efforts.

  • Address owner and guest concerns as needed. Monitor completion times and quality of services provided. Drive guest satisfaction score for continuous improvement.


Job Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years in Hospitality Maintenance, Apartment Complex Maintenance, or related industry.


  • High degree of judgment
  • Bilingual a plus – English/Spanish
  • Comprehensive knowledge 

  • Ability to motivate, engage and lead employees
