POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

This position will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reporting for multiple cost centers. Responsibilities also include reconciliation/audit between subsystem and accounting system. Responsible for performing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations related to the month end closing process, inclusive of the P&L review related to these entries. Also, performs assigned accounting functions requiring an in-depth knowledge of the structure of the company and agreements with third party vendors. This position works under general supervision, and exercises independent judgment in carrying out duties. Position also assists with special projects and any assigned tasks as deemed necessary by Management.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

  • Create and record journal entries with an understanding of the financial statements impact. 
  • Reconcile, research and resolve complex general ledger accounts to minimize risk and protect company assets.
  • Perform comprehensive research and analysis; ability to present and explain results. 
  • Assists in the development, implementation and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Establishes “Best Practices” and formulates solutions as it relates to creating efficiencies.
  • Special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business area required. 
  • Minimum four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Timeshare / Hospitality industry experience a plus
