POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

Performs accounting duties that include ensuring that the financial transactions are properly recorded, processing of vendor invoices, redemption of on-site vouchers, cash order management, and processing of wire transfers. Ensures the accuracy of entries to the ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. The position will also perform administrative tasks over the point of sale system, on an as needed basis. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular accounting function. Applies basic understanding of accounting principles and practices to the organization’s operations, requiring independent thought and judgment. Should be able to monitor and identify problems within the organization’s control structure. Works under minimal supervision. Work is somewhat routine with some difficult situations requiring investigation and more in depth analysis. Should have basic computer skills and be familiar with spreadsheet and word processor software including formatting and formula operations. Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

  • Create and record journal entries with an understanding of the financial statements impact. 
  • Provide audit schedules and work papers to enable outside auditors to assess year end results. 
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and prepare budget inputs based on statistical data. 
  • Participate in the preparation of studies, reports and analyses in area such as forecasts, financial plans and statistical reports. 

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business area required. 
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Timeshare / Hospitality industry experience a plus
