POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

 

This position is responsible for the management and coordination of activities related to recruiting, selection and on-boarding of new employees. Establishes recruiting plan be studying organizational staffing plan and objectives.  Additionally this role directly oversees all contract administration and vendor management of third parties providing Direct Hire Placement services, contract labor services, and temporary labor services to the Corporate Services departments of HCV. 


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

  • Networks, cold calls, and uses referral to acquire viable candidates. Uses various technologies to source and select candidates for consideration. Liaises with hiring managers to complete selection process and ensures the best candidates available are presented for selection.                       
  • Identifies difficult job vacancies and investigates the best recruitment approach for them. Liaises with various support teams (Social Media Management, Corporate Communications, etc.) to ensure proper messaging to relevant communities.  Drives diversity of talent acquisition efforts for assigned departments.
  • Oversees talent acquisition services for RISE (HCV intern program). Establishes relationships with relevant universities to pipeline talent, secures on campus interviewing, forecasts INTERN needs for the next semester and ensures offers are extended at least 60 days prior to start of INTERN program.
  • Contract negotiation or renegotiation with vendors, maintaining the preferred vendor list, auditing and reporting functions to track contract compliance, and addressing and area of contract compliance with vendors. Regularly liaises with various client groups to ensure efficacy of vendors, and possible replacement of vendors whose performance falls short.
  • Ensures consistency in the application and enforcement of all company policies and procedures and the compliance with all government regulations (EEO, INS, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, OSHA, etc.) and all Federal and State employment laws

 

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of proven recruiting experience.
  • Hospitality and/or Timeshare industry experience preferred, not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must be organized
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures, as well as Federal & State regulations and background in staffing recruitment, employee relations, strategic planning, and training & development.
  • Must work well independently and also as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel based on business needs.
