POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

This position involves the performance of accounting duties that include but are not limited to preparing wire transfers, preparing month-end journal entries, performing reconciliations of select balance sheet accounts, preparing inter-company billings, as well as, special projects. The knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices and procedures is required. Independent thought and judgement is needed while applying the basic understanding of accounting and business policies. The position works under moderate supervision. Work is routine with some difficult situations requiring investigation and more in depth analysis. Candidate should have basic computer skills and be familiar with spreadsheet and word processing, and be ready to learn and adapt to new software.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

  • Participate in account reconciliation process and prepare inputs based on statistical data.  30%
  • Create and record monthly journal entries with an understanding of the financial statements impact.  30%
  • Preparation of wires and inter-company billings.  25%
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned.  15%

 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

QUALIFICATIONS: 

     • Accounting/Finance background
     • Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills required
     • Works well in a team environment
     • Detail oriented and self-sufficient
     • Ability to multitask and manage time wisely is needed
     • PC Knowledge of Excel and Word required
