POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day execution of effective inventory management strategies that yield to the prospective timeshare buyer while maximizing revenue opportunities for rental inventory. The ideal candidate possesses a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance and demonstrates the ability to make strategic decisions upon further analysis. While this position is responsible for the optimization of inventory at their assigned properties, they are part of a larger team of Revenue Analysts and Managers that work together with various departments including Inventory Management, Rental Operations, Club Operations, Resort Operations, Sales & Marketing to meet the overarching goals of Holiday Inn Club Vacations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

1. Ensure availability is consistent across systems and analyze various reporting such as daily booking activity, revenue summary, pacing, occupancy, forecasts and competitor shops to adjust pricing, restrictions, hurdle points and supply rate and allocation quotes for group inquiries.  40%

2. Review weekly short term and monthly long term forecasts to identify inventory challenges for all channels including Club, Owner, Exchange, Rental & Marketing and adjust strategy accordingly to maximize overall occupancy and arrivals for prospective timeshare tours.  20%

3. Serve as the market expert for all assigned properties by researching and maintaining a working knowledge of direct competitors and demand drivers such as general seasonality, special events/holidays, and city wide sell outs. Use this knowledge to identify optimal placement within the comp set as well as develop effective strategies for high demand time periods and work with sales and marketing teams on strategies for low demand periods.  15%

4. Participate in regular Club and Rental performance meetings to discuss need periods and develop strategies to boost performance. Maintain special program offers for club members to incentivize higher utilization over time periods of concern.  10%

5. Review month end performance statistics such as occupancy, arrivals, ADR & RevPar and provide critical analysis on variance to budget as well as recommendations for adjustments to future strategies.  15%

 

 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 year equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years of revenue or inventory management experience preferred
• 1-2 years of reservation experience in a hotel or timeshare setting required

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel is required
• Must be self-sufficient and a self-starter
• Must be results driven
• Must be detail oriented with high level of accuracy
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and balance priorities
• Should have basic understanding of yield management
• Ability to work closely within a team environment and/or as an individual with minimal supervision
