POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The role of the Resort Marketing Specialist is to provide marketing support and assistance to the Rental Operations Department.  In collaboration with Brand Services, Revenue Management, and other teams, the Resort Marketing Specialists will be responsible for creating and executing email campaigns, to desired consumer target audiences, designed to create buzz and brand awareness, generate leads, grow the rental business, and ultimately positively impact revenue.  In addition, they may be tasked with a variety of other marketing activities to include analyzing research and industry trends, working with internal/external advertising vendors, creating compelling and actionable content across various platforms, and working with the Rental Marketing Team to create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that leverages traditional marketing; as well as online marketing tactics (i.e. Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Paid Search, Social, Mobile, Display, Email, and Analytics) and uses measurable KPI’s.  

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:                                                       

Manage HICV’s Rental Operations email customer journey and prepare, deploy, grow, and analyze email efforts as scheduled to create brand awareness, interest, consideration, and intent; driving rental sales and business results.  

Research, develop and implement new marketing initiatives and campaigns to increase exposure of assigned HCV resorts, and the HCV brand overall. Work with Brand Services on the creation of all marketing content and creative.

Work with CVB/Chamber of Commerce in building and maintaining successful relationship to effectively gain exposure, maximize all membership benefits, and determine membership renewals for assigned resorts.

Review and update website copy, landing pages, and all digital efforts for SEO opportunity to garner leads, grow the rental business, and ultimately impact revenue.

Other duties as assigned to include but not limited to Leading Digital Content Editorial Meetings, act as the subject matter expert on email campaign to continually improve results, etc.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, plus 3-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert level experience required for: Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Minimum of 2-years of technical email production experience and proficient knowledge of CSS, HTML, Excel, and responsive email design.
  • Strong knowledge of experience with a CRM Software; preferably Salesforce.
  • Experience managing marketing budget, planning, and spending (projections vs. actual).
  • Resort/hotel/hospitality marketing experience preferred, but not required.


 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication skills including written communications, speaking, presentation development, and delivery.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Effective project manager who gets things done with minimal guidance.
  • Must have desire to learn, and ability to master new systems and tools.
  • Understand strict brand guidelines and ability to work within those guidelines
