This position will be responsible for creating and implementing plans that share the company’s story, its executives leaders strengths and its expanding resort network through strategic communications plans that match the company’s strategic goals. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Public Relations – Corporate Communications.



  • Serves as liaison between the client (internal department), creative team and media focused on resort specific news and content.
  • Maintains visibility and open communication with media to ensure that the company’s message is delivered in a positive and truthful manner.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes all new project requests and works with Sr. Manager to establish direction and execution.
  • Writes and owns press releases, media pitches and project briefs that extend the company’s message while focusing on proactive messaging to media.
  • Works to keep all projects on time and on budget, looks for ways to improve processes and procedures, and is responsible for maintaining and exceeding department Key Operating Indicators.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Administration in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or Mass Communications or related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years public relations experience – preferably in a hospitality (hotel, timeshare, destination marketing organization) company
  • APR certifications a plus
  • Experience developing and pitching to local and national news outlets


  • Work collaboratively with clients and media
  • Frequent computer use
  • Ability to Multi-Task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and a natural problem-solver
  • Proficient in prioritizing, and organizing assignments
