To prepare and develop tomorrow’s leaders, the Resort Industry Student Experience (RISE) internship program provides the structure and resources to harness, teach, and grow talented students into successful career professionals through an immersive, holistic, and dynamic learning experience in the hospitality industry.

All internships will consist of hands on work, observations, special projects, leadership development, training, feedback and evaluations. Students will have the opportunity to form connections with both their peers and industry leaders who are in roles in both their own department and others within the company.

The Learning and Development Technology Intern is primarily responsible for supporting the Learning Management System (Cornerstone) and integrated learning technologies (such as xAPI, and others), including monitoring support requests, troubleshooting team members user issues, efficiently escalating problems as needed, collaborating with other support groups to quickly resolve cross-system issues, and creating documentation for team members as appropriate. In addition, the Learning Technology Intern is responsible for facilitating a consistently exceptional customer support experience for all LMS users and for proactively identifying and communicating potential issues and target areas for improvement.



  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and networking events with the Academy of Learning and Development–approximately once per week. This includes a team project to be presented to leadership at the conclusion of the internship
  • Monitors LMS support request and solves team member’s user issues, triaging requests requiring escalation as needed.
  • Manages team member’s user accounts and enrollments and supports automated provisioning processes.
  • Assists in course upload and configuration as it relates to the LMS or other learning technologies.
  • Participates in the planning, testing, and implementation of LMS changes, updates, and upgrades.
  • Monitors system logs and proactively identifies system failures.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements.


Job Requirements

  • Student pursuing a degree in information technology or any related area of study
  • Enrolled in college/university courses within 6 months of the start of the internship
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in current good standing with the college/university
  • Must not be in first two semesters taking college coursework
  • Must be able to secure housing in the location of the internship for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to pass and complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to complete entire program without interruptions

International Students       

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in a college/university in the United States and possess unrestricted US work authorization. Typically, this means international students must be studying on an F-1 or J-1 visa.
