POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The IT Tech II provides customer focused day-to-day technical support and administration for PC workstations including:  installation, optimization and troubleshooting of PC hardware, VM and Mobile technology and office automation applications. The Tech II will be required to support users onsite and remotely using technology tools provided by IT.  There will be times that the Tech II would be required to drive to a location for support.  Will be required to take incoming calls as back/overflow for the Service Desk.  Perform office moves when it comes to IT technology.  Input service tickets for tasks/incidents while performing onsite support.  Required to image current technologies and deploy to the end user via personal delivery or via FedEx.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

 

1.     Assist end users (internal and remote) with desktop and software questions and issues via phone, physical or virtual support.

 

2.     Image, troubleshoot and support current technologies.

 

3.     Assist in training new/existing employees when needed.

 

4.     Support the call center personnel via phone, physical or virtual support.  This will entail walking the call center floors located near you. 

 

 

5.     Office moves/special projects

Job Requirements



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or up to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Any certification would be a plus.
     


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years’ experience within the last 4 years in related I.T. position
  • At least 3 years’ experience within the last 4 years with setup, installation, upgrades, security, and administration of PC’s and related network equipment
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from customers and provide timely resolutions to issues while effectively communicating status to management and customers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft business products and operating systems
  • Working knowledge with HP printers and other peripherals; and proficient with related setup and administration
  • Ability of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver license and must pass a MVR.
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Carries out any reasonable request by management of which the employee is capable of performing

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or stand for extended periods of time.  Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate office machinery.  Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Specific work assignments may change without notice.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

 



WORKING CONDITIONS

The majority of work will be performed in a climate-controlled environment, but may be exposed to inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature on occasion.

 



WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS

Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays.  Must be flexible to work outside of departmental operating hours.
