To prepare and develop tomorrow’s leaders, the Resort Industry Student Experience (RISE) internship program provides the structure and resources to harness, teach, and grow talented students into successful career professionals through an immersive, holistic, and dynamic learning experience in the hospitality industry.

All internships will consist of hands on work, observations, special projects, leadership development, training, feedback and evaluations. Students will have the opportunity to form connections with both their peers and industry leaders who are in roles in both their own department and others.

Internships are approximately three months long with the potential opportunity for a second internship, full or part time employment, however placement is not guaranteed. 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will be responsible for assisting with concierge services, as well as act as an extension of HR Link, for the team members at the Corporate Center.  This will include helping team members with general HR inquiries, assisting with the coordination of  concierge services, and general Human Resources support. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to build a foundation for a career in Human Resources. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Greet team members and provide assistance with general HR support  which may include answering calls and responding to emails regarding benefits, HRIS, payroll, PTO and other employment related inquiries. Must apply the utmost level of customer service to ensure team member satisfaction.

  • Will assist team members with the concierge services offered at Corporate Center.  Will also identify new opportunities for services offered to team members.

  • Handles routine HR administrative duties that may include 30 day recognition cards, employment verification's, eligibility letter, etc.

  • Assists with administration of corporate programs such as the corporate recognition, tuition assistance, language classes, etc.
  • Participate in meetings, training's, and networking events with the Academy of Learning and Development–approximately once per week including a final project to be presented to leadership at the end of the internship

Job Requirements

  • Student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business, Hospitality Management or other relevant area of study
  • Enrolled in college/university courses within 6 months of the start of the internship (recent graduates may apply)
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in current good standing with the college/university
  • Must not be first two semesters taking college coursework
  • Must be able to secure housing in the location of the internship for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to pass and complete a background check
  • Must be able to complete entire program without interruptions
  • Should have general HR knowledge
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word
  • Bilingual skills helpful
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in a college/university in the United States and possess unrestricted US work authorization.
