POSITION OVERVIEW:

Facility Technical Coordinator 1 coordinates, schedules, procures and oversees necessary resources and vendors for the successful completion of the Facility Services preventative & predictive maintenance scheduled work process system. This person must be knowledgeable in the safety, material and technical procedures in area(s) of specialty such as (Mechanical and/or Construction), in the field or in a related area, and must have an outstanding working knowledge with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This person shall require a technical ability to follow written instruction and complete documentation associated with Commercial Facilities & Equipment maintenance.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Work in a team environment to manage the Facility Services work request's & PM systems to include: Coordination of routine projects, confirmation of scope, writing contract scope for vendors, coordinating all communications and schedules on these projects, managing & reviewing workmanship in accordance to written scope while adhering to Industry practices of QC, OSHA and Standard Florida Code Practices. Tracks equipment usage and failures. Initiates other PM's / Work Orders, with proper work procedures, in the prevention of equipment breakdown and protection of facility assets.
  • Provides a detailed scope of work, technical written procedures and estimated time, materials and resources needed for all PM’s and project repair work performed. Coordinates PM's, Projects, & Work Orders on a as needed basis according to the resources at hand. Works closely with management, and vendors in field, in planning PM's and/or repair projects.
  • Monitors, reconciles, maintains inventory, and tracks satellite storeroom transactions of material usage, broken parts, vendor orders, and accurately maintains record documentation of said material usage.
  • Interfaces with internal customers, team members and team leaders; assures proper safety equipment and procedures are available; proper tools are available for PM's and repair projects; coordinates preventative/predictive maintenance of Facility(s) and equipment.
  • Maintains accurate inventories (periodically) of company tools bought and/or assigned to his/her department. Performs miscellaneous administrative duties; analyzes facility PM maintenance costs and reliability; generates weekly PM's; compliance reports; adjusts estimated PM labor times; evaluates cost-cutting measures; and gathers other information for Facility Services.

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
  • Technical Certifications and/or Licenses in a construction and/or mechanical area of specialty preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, have 4 years of driving experience and a valid drivers license
