POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Front Desk. This individual will assist in the hiring, training, development, evaluation, and supervision of all Front Desk personnel. Additional responsibilities include ongoing training, coaching and counseling. This individual will ensure the staff’s commitment to maintaining service expectations through observation, communication and recognition. The Assistant Guest Services Manager will serve as a role model, develop talent and provide staff support in handling complex situations. Other activities include folio research, posting, discrepancies and any related cash handling issues. The Supervisor will confer with other departments to coordinate and follow up on all guest information.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Hire, retain, train, motivate, engage, and develop staff supporting our company’s culture and core values
  • Supports Guest Services Manger with day to day operations to include but not limited to, performance management, payroll, schedules, guests resolution/satisfaction
  • Ensures the success of the check-in experience to the highest caliber. Providing concierge services (to include but not limited to), recognizing owners and guests, provide destination recommendations of local and or on-site services and events, accommodating request and proactively listening addressing inquires
  • Provides collaboration, partnership and support of in-house marketing and sales
  • Supports operation and business needs as MOD (manager on duty)

 

Job Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in the hospitality industry
  • Associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
