POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

This position will be responsible for carrying out accounting and financial tasks with the goal of assuring consistent systems of internal controls and accurate and timely recording of all financial activities.  Works under minimal supervision.  Work is somewhat routine with some difficult situations requiring investigation and more in-depth analysis.  Should have basic computer skills and be familiar with spreadsheet and word processor software including formatting and formula operations.  Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

1. Process all invoices relating to assigned project(s) including reviewing contracts, matching invoices to purchase orders, verifying costs, assisting in coding. This includes the processing and analysis of high profile, multi-million-dollar General Contractor progress payments.   40%


2. Obtain all necessary signature approvals and post invoices in accounting system.   15%

3. Work closely with Project Controllers on project analysis.   10%


4. Prepare monthly listing of non-processed invoices and cash projections for cash flow reporting.   10%


5. Maintain files and logs for Notice to Owners and Lien Waivers associated with all invoices as required by state regulation and construction procedures.   10%


6. Special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.   5%

 

 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years accounting experience preferred.
  • Timeshare / Hospitality industry experience a plus

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to accurately input data.
  • Knowledge of general construction accounting, job costing and invoicing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral).
  • Ability to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to establish productive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
