POSITION DESCRIPTION:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position will be responsible to:

  • Prepare workpapers for monthly and quarterly transaction tax filings
  • Prepare and submit filings of state and local transaction tax, business license and gross receipt returns
  • Prepare tangible personal property tax returns and miscellaneous reports filed with taxing and regulatory authorities for special entities.
  • Prepare monthly account balance reconciliations for tax-related accounts
  • Prepare periodic reports for internal use by the Tax department and others

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:  

  • Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax and other transactional tax returns.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and periodic reports
  • Prepare tangible personal property tax returns
  • Assist in the development, implementation and compliance with policies and procedures. Identify deficiencies and formulate solutions as it relates to creating efficiencies.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business area required. 
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant accounting experience.
  • Timeshare / Hospitality industry experience a plus

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Power Point
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Solid workpaper documentation skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision,  be detail-orientated and have the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral)
  • Must be able to establish productive relationships with internal and external partners
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a team environment and support the core values of the company
  • Ability to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
